  • Donation of Nga Thyne Chaung Community Centre [Saturday, October 5, 2019]

    On October 5th 2019, AYA Myanmar General Insurance donated Nga Thyne Chaung Community Centre with the purpose to improve knowledge for local youths in Nga Thyne Chaung that exists in Pathein District, Ayeyarwaddy Division. To this ceremony, Union Minister for Information, Dr Phay Myint, Ayeyarwaddy Region Chief Minister, U Hla Moe Aung, Officials from AYA Myanmar General Insurance and other Invited guests were attended.

    The opening speech was delivered by the Union Minister for Information, Dr Phay Myint and a speech was delivered by Irrawaddy Region Chief Minister, U Hla Moe Aung. After that, the responsible personnel provided certificates to donors and AYA Myanmar General Insurance donated necessary equipment in the Community Center.

  • 6th Anniversary of AYA Myanmar Insurance at Yankin Childern Hospital [Saturday, August 24, 2019]

    On 24 August 2019, AYA Myanmar Insurance celebrated its 6th Anniversary at Yankin Childern Hospital by donating to Ayawaddy Foundation from AMI’s Managing Director and responsible personnel. AMI staff also actively involved in various activities such as blood donation and providing lunchboxes to patients and their families.

  • Reduce Speed Limit Campaign

    On 6 July 2019, AYA Myanmar Insurance created a “Reduce Speed Limit” Campaign collaboration with AYA Bank, AYA Trust, Max Myanmar and Max Highway. This campaign was accomplished at Mawbi Toll Gate from 7 AM to 9 AM.
    The purpose of this campaign was to reduce the motor accidents that was happening daily on the Highway and offered reflective stickers and keychains, educated traffic rules and not higher than the specified mile per hour on the highway.

  • Clean up Pathein Campaign with AMI

    On 27 July 2019, as the remark of Pathein Branch Opening Ceremony, with the purpose of reducing littering in public areas, AMI made a Cleanup campaign collaboration with Clean Pathein Team, and started picking up garbage from Pathein Ocean View Point to the designated areas.
    To successfully accomplish this campaign, AMI gave a sponsor and actively participated with highly commitment.

  • Voluntary Work at Monywa collaboration with Nat Lu Hti Pon Basic Education High School- CSR Activity

    On 28 June 2019, as the remark of Monywa Opening Ceremony, AMI created a campaign with the title of “Save Monywa” which is a planting campaign around Monywa for our social environment. AMI office staff, the Headmistress, teachers and students from Nat Lu Hti Pon Basic Education High School also participated to this campaign. To run this campaign successfully, AMI contributed and also actively planted sprouts at the designated places.

  • Yangon-Mandalay Highway Billboard

    As AYA Myanmar Insurance is continuously working Corporate Social Responsibility for our social environment, in accordance with the Yangon-Mandalay highway (0/0 mile in 366/3) to ensure road safety, warning Educational Billboards are erecting to reduce the risk of accidents along the highway.
    On 29 January, Tuesday at 10 A.M at the Ministry of Construction, Road Department, Highway Maintenance and Administration’s meeting room held honor ceremony for AMI. At that ceremony, the director of urban, U Toe Toe, expressed thanks for the installation of warning signs, and education billboard and made a discussion for insurance knowledge from AYA Myanmar Insurance to the attended participants. The participants are also asked questions that they want to know and made discussion.

  • “Road Safety Campaign” with AMI and SSEAYP

    AYA Myanmar Insurance organized a road safety campaign with the title, “Limit your Speed, Value your Life”,
    together with the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program Myanmar (SSYEAP) group at Yangon Tollgate in May 26th.
    The purpose of the campaign is to reduce the motor accidents that is happening daily on Yangon-Mandalay Highway Road and to provide awareness on information regarding speed limit in highway roads.
    The campaign took place on both 25th and 26th May and speed limit information as well as stickers and gifts are shared during this period

  • Keep Bagan Clean Plastic Campaign with AMI

    With the aim of mainly for garbage disposal eradication in Bagan, AYA Myanmar Insurance Company was held Plastic Campaign in collaboration with Plastic Campaign Team on (4.5.2019) and divided 4 groups to participate actively in Campaign.
    Group (1) From Naung Oo Thinkarya Junction to Alotawpyae Pagoda,
    Group (2) From Ywar Houng Gyi Pogoda to Alotawpyae Pagoda
    Group (3) Along the road from Watt Gyi Inn Village to Kay Minga Thein Kaung Street
    Group (4) The way to Shwe Nann Yin Taw, we clean and give knowledge to reduce using Plastics trash and separating dry and wet Trash, Planting and watering trees, Making Green Roof are performed collectively and actively.
    To conduct this campaign, AYA Myanmar Insurance give massive support and clean up trash and share Plastic trash bins.

Founder and Chairman
U Zaw Zaw is the founder and Executive Chairman of AYA Myanmar Insurance, a role that he had held since the inception of the company in 2013. He is an established and well – connected entrepreneur and business leader in Myanmar, with 20 years of management experience. U Zaw Zaw graduated from the University of Yangon in 1988 with the major in Mathematics and had worked in Japan for several years prior to his return to Myanmar in 1995 and managed Max Myanmar Company, which is now known as Max Myanmar Group of Companies, a major conglomerate. U Zaw Zaw is also the Chairman of the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) and AYA Bank since 2005 and 2010 respectively, and is a believer of contributing to the society and helping the needy. Through the Ayeyarwady Foundation, he has donated to various philanthropic causes and carried out numerous cooperate social responsibility activities. He has also donated generously for the development of football in Myanmar.

Daw Nan Lin Lin Tun was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Board since the company’s inception in 2013. Daw Nan Lin Lin Tun holds the Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1995 awarded by the University of Yangon, and is also the Managing Director of Phyo Myanmar Co., Ltd, bringing along with her a wealth of experience within the Business Community in Myanmar.

Vice Chairman
Vice Chairman U Than Zaw served as the Managing Director to Ayeyarwady Bank from 2011 to 2013 and during his tenure, he has led the fledging Bank to grow its brand and network in Myanmar. He also played a pivotal role in starting AYA Myanmar Insurance as the Managing Director. He now heads the company as the Vice Chairman and remains as the Executive Director of the Board at AYA Bank. U Than Zaw’s vast experience includes eight-year tenure with the Olympics Committee as a Treasurer and another two years as the Chief Executive Officer of the Myanmar Football Federation.

U Myo Min Thu graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Banking and Finance, awarded by the London School of Economics & Political Science, University of London. Prior to joining AYA Myanmar Insurance, U Myo Min Thu had held various management positions in Singapore and overseas, bringing to the country his international exposure and service experiences. Possess corporate and field experience in the aviation industry.

Daw Khin Ma Ma was appointed as the Executive Director of AYA Myanmar Insurance in 2014, overseeing the human resources matters and providing guidance for the capacity building of the employees at AMI. She is also the Executive Director of the Board at AYA Bank. Daw Khin Ma Ma brings along with her a wealth of experience gained through her 17 years of career in a service industry. With her passion for delivering quality service, she has brought the quality of service offered in AMI to a higher level.
Professor Dr. Aung Tun Thet

Non-Executive Director
Professor Doctor Aung Tun Thet was appointed as a Non-Executive Director with AYA Myanmar Insurance in 2014, offering advice in areas of Management, Human Resource and the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of the Board at AYA Bank. Professor Doctor Aung Tun Thet is distinguished International and National Civil Servant who has served in the United Nations as well as the Myanmar civil service. He is currently a visiting Professor at the Yangon Institute of Economics and Yangon University. He acts as a management consultant in areas of Management, Leadership, Human Resources, Organizational Development and Corporate Governance for various companies. He is also an advisor for the business community and the civil society. Professor Dr. Aung Tun Thet is a leading advocate of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Myanmar.

Dr. Tin Latt was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of AYA Myanmar Insurance in 2016. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of the Board at AYA Bank. Dr. Tin Latt is a FCCA, ACMA and CPA-qualified accountant with more than 18 years of professional experience. He is also the owner and the Managing Director of Management & Accountancy Training Limited, which provides professional and vocational training courses in conjunction with international Professional Accountancy bodies such as ACCA and CIMA, and the Managing Partner of MAT Audit and Professional Services. Dr. Tin Latt is a Certified Public Accountant of Myanmar and Chartered Accountant of Singapore and has completed many international professional services engagement in co-operation with Ernst & Young LLP Singapore. Dr. Tin Latt has been working as a visiting lecturer for CPA classes at the Myanmar Accountancy Council and is also a Central Executive Committee member of the Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
